Sheet non slip flooring can have the advantage over vinyl tile flooring, as this can be installed over a large area in a short time span with a limited number of seams which could allow the passage of liquid to the subfloor. Non slip flooring is generally laid over a pre-prepared subfloor using either plywood underlayment or semi-liquid smoothing compounds. Both of these are covered with adhesive prior to the installation of the top layer of non slip flooring.
